
Alberto Testa (5th Dan) has 40 years experience in Karate and Alberto’s Dans are recognised by Kuniba Kai (Japan Karate Federation; World Karate Federation) and the British Combat Karate Association. Alberto first and most respected karate Sensei was Fabrizio Castellani (6th dan ISKF-JKA; 7th dan Italian Karate Federation) . Shihan Castellani is one of the top Italian Shotokan Karate stylist- Chief Instructor for Italy of the International Shotokan Karate Federation led by Shihan Teruyuki Okazaki, 10th dan .

In 2004, Alberto Testa had the honour to be introduced to Shorin Ryu Karate- Seibukan style (Kyan Chotoku lineage) by Kyoshi Jamal Measara, famous karate and kobudo master, well known Okinawan karate historian and researcher; 9th dan Seibukan, 6th dan Matayoshi Kobudo, 7th dan Aikido; Chief Examiner and Instructor for Europe of the International Okinawa Shorin- Ryu Seibukan Karate and Hanshi Zempo Shimabukuro’s direct student and one of the few non-okinawan master being admitted to the Okinawan Karate Commission (Okinawa-Japan) to preserve the original Okinawan karate teachings and culture.
Measara Sensei met Donn F. Draeger Sensei, who taught him the art of classical Kobujutsu. Later he studied Okinawan Kobujutsu under many sensei, such as Akamine and Matayoshi, until he met his sensei Kanei Katsuyoshi of Okinawan Jinbukan Kobudo. This is the style to which he still belongs today.
During his Karate career, he participated in many semi-contact and full-contact tournaments. He was appointed National Coach of Malaysia until 1980, when he moved to Germany; which is where he still lives now.
As an “Ambassador of Okinawan Karate”, Measara Sensei India, the Philippines, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Denmark, Italy, France, Russia, Dubai, Finland, Sweden, South Africa, Switzerland, the United States as well as other numerous countries where he often started new schools and won foreign dojos to the Okinawan style. Alberto will always be in debt for the generosity of Kyoshi Measara for sharing knowledge about Okinawan karate and is honoured to be in contact with him

Alberto has also trained with Okinawan well known karate Master Hanshi Kenyu Chinen 10th Dan; chief instructor of World Oshukai) and in 2013, He went to Okinawa (the birth place of Karate) to study with Hanshi Giyu Gibo senior student of legendary Karate masters Shugoro Nakazato, Shinpou Matayoshi and Katsuya Miyahira.

Alberto has cross-trained in Judo ; Currently He also practices boxing and he is an instructor of the British Combat Karate Association and the British Combat Association led by Peter Consterdine (9th Dan) and Geoff Thompson Sensei.
